I'm still reading the book. This is my first experience with Josephine Tey, so I'm glad I bought the omnibus edition. Started with Miss Pym, but kept getting bogged down. Wordy, too many girls so far. Finished Inspector Grant, found that fascinating, since I'm a history buff. Just started Brat Farrar....so far, so good.

Disappointing
September 20, 2010

I exected much more from this writer. Found too much detail and not enought substance to plots.

One of the all time greats

I have treasured and reread these stories over and over for years. They are true classics, and should be in every mystery fan's library. I am delighted to see them together in this edition. Guess what my next order will be for!

A waste of time
October 06, 2007

I was very disappointed in this book. I have really enjoyed the two dozen books I got from Mystery guild. However, I felt there was no character development nor a plot in these stories

An old favorite
August 30, 2007

I have loved A Daughter of Time for thirty years, and Brat Farrar is an all-time favorite. I loved the PBS Mystery series based on Brat Farrar from years ago, too. What a joy to find them in a hardcover, since my old paperbacks are getting pretty tattered! Never read Miss Pym Disposes, but hope it lives up to the others.
