This unique collection includes writings from three of C.S. Lewis’ most imaginative works.
What Christians Believe: Lewis explains the basic tenets of Christianity. Taken from Mere Christianity, they provide an accessible way to discover the truths of our faith.
Made for Heaven: This volume includes some of Lewis’ most beautiful writing, with insight into our deepest souls and the theme of Heaven as our true home.
Paved With Good Intentions: The demon Wormwood became famous in The Screwtape Letters. This is his notebook, offering witty strategies for how best to corrupt a new Christian and steal him from God.

The book collection is crowded but I couldn't resist these. They have been compact, refreshing and borrowed by friends already.Price was right and these classics will never be "old"

These small, six-by-four-inch hardcover books are great for giving to people who have not read the complete SCREWTAPE LETTERS, MERE CHRISTIANITY, WEIGHT OF GLORY, PROBLEM OF PAIN, or THE GREAT DIVORCE. These three little books contain excerpts that even the reluctant reader can digest in thirty minutes each. WHAT CHRISTIANS BELIEVE is actually the whole "Book 2" out of 4 Books in MERE CHRISTIANITY; it reads word-for-word exactly like Book 2; this would be great to give to someone seeking the truth. My personal favorite was PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS; the letter format of THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS has been changed to being like a Field Manual; some of the dated archaic situations are deleted. These are great little books, but still there is nothing as good as reading C.S. Lewis' whole works as they were originally written.

I have not finished reading these books but am working on them. I really enjoyed what I read. These books are a must to read. C.S. Lewis was very knowledgeable about who God is and also the works of the devil. Thank you Literary Club for making them available.

I had wondered about the terms "apologetics" and "apologist", wondering why there would need to be apologies for the Bible... Then I discovered that is the term for DEFENDING the Truth of the Bible. I keep one of these little books in my purse for reading in those times I spend waiting - for service, meetings, etc. They are a must read for anyone wanting to better understand their walk with Christ. C.S. Lewis had a profound intimacy with Jesus and wanted others to understand. Mr. Lewis helps us understand the whys of Christianity.
