Dashing Through the Snow

There’s a lot of dashing through the snow in Branscombe, New Hampshire, when a group of employees, readying for the town’s first Festival of Joy, learn they’ve won 160 million dollars in the lottery! But one of their co-workers, who decided at the last minute not to play, is missing. A second winning ticket was purchased nearby—could he have secretly bought it? Why does his girlfriend disappear? On hand to investigate are amateur sleuth Alvirah Meehan, a lottery winner herself, P.I. Regan Reilly, Regan’s husband Jack, head of the NYPD Major Case Squad and Regan’s parents who had been looking forward to an old fashioned holiday festival in the country.

This delightful caper from a favorite mother-daughter duo is a holiday treat.

When Mary and Carol get together it is always a fabulous ride. This book has it all. I love to read both Carol and Mary's books, but the Christmas stories that they write together are always a treat.

This book is so shallow as to be laughable. Reader's Digest condensed books have more action than this sorry excuse for a book. I thought it a waste of money.
